BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157; sequence: Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide derived from a body protection compound found in human gastric juice. It is one of the most extensively studied regenerative peptides in preclinical science, investigated for its roles in angiogenesis, tendon-to-bone healing, skeletal muscle regeneration, and gastrointestinal mucosal protection.

BPC-157 has been shown in preclinical models to modulate VEGF, EGF, and nitric oxide signalling pathways, while also influencing dopaminergic and serotonergic neurotransmission. Its exceptional stability in human gastric juice and broad preclinical activity profile make it one of the most studied compounds in regenerative and GI research.
