DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) (Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu) is a neuromodulatory nonapeptide first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood in 1974. It is studied for its role in circadian rhythm regulation, stress hormone modulation, and neurophysiological signalling related to sleep-wake cycles in preclinical research models.
